DOG TRAINING

At Colorado K9 Instincts, we revolutionize dog training by focusing on the cornerstone of success: your relationship with your canine companion. Our unique approach centers on building a strong, communicative bond between you and your dog, creating a foundation for lasting obedience and harmony.

BASIC OBEDIENCE

Basic obedience is where your relationship with your dog begins. Dogs need guidance and leadership. I do not teach your dog the basics, I know I can do that. I am in the training humans business, I train YOU how to teach your dog to heel, come, off, engage and more. These basics are also vital for the safety, happiness and the well-being of your dog.

IN-HOME TRAINING

Behavioral struggles start in the home, which makes sense right? It is where they spend most of their time. Training in your home your dog is learning in its main environment, with the same distraction, same scents, same people.

BASIC OBEDIENCE - ADVANCED

We take everything you have learned in basic training, or if your dog already knows basic obedience, we will take it to the next level and start working with your dog off leash.  Giving the dog the freedom to be off leash changes their quality of life and you the confidence to give your dog that freedom. Giving them that independence strengthens your relationship and makes both of you happy. However safety comes first. If your dog is off leash, you need to be able to recall your dog right away.

BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION/
OBEDIENCE

Is your dog reactive on the leash? Barking at dogs and people? Lunging and pulling?  Nervous around people/other dogs? Barking when everyone walks by your house? This is something we can work on. We can not train out genetics but we can train behavior.

 

Does Behavior modification mean your dog will love other dogs and people? No, not always. We as people do not love everyone. But we will teach your dog to trust you, and make walks and time together more enjoyable for your dog when they are not in fight or flight mode. It is hard for you to walk your dog, but it is hard on the dog to be in that state of mind. So let's help build your relationship and work on those behaviors.

Puppy Group Class

These classes are designed to establish a healthy, happy owner-puppy relationship, as well as to teach you and your dog the fundamentals of obedience. This training is typically recommended for dogs between 14 weeks and 1 year of age. However, we recommend starting as early as possible to prevent bad habits from forming first.

Your puppy will learn the basic commands of heel, sit, stay, down and place, as well as an introduction to recall and manners, such as no jumping and no biting. As an owner, you’ll learn about proper dog handling and dog behavior, how to deliver commands, and use reward and praise.

 

This class will be distracting for a puppy, it is imperative that you understand that and it is so important to take this training and do it in your home.

4 Advance Classes - 60 mins - $275

  • Accepting friendly Stranger

  • Sitting politely for pets

  • Appearance/grooming

  • Sit/down on command and staying in place

  • Reaction to another dog

  • Come when called

  • Reaction to distractions

  • Supervised Separation

 

Testing - $60:

1 Day

Offered in Group Setting

Good for therapy work/sports/rescue

You are confident your dog can do the above behaviors.

Prerequisites: Basic and Intermediate Classes

BOARD + TRAIN

We offer 1:1 boarding your dog in combination with our intensive training options. We work on obedience, behavior modification, or specific skills based on your goals. This immersive experience allows for rapid progress in a distraction-free setting.

Our Board + Train option is best if you need additional training assistance, if life is really busy or if training your dog is getting frustrating?  We will get your dog started. Just remember everything will dwindle if you do not continue to do the training at home.

Day Boarding and Training Combo - $125

  • One 60 min training session

  • Focus on a command or Behavior you are struggling with

 

Board and Train - $200

  • Overnight boarding

  • Walks

  • One on One Training sessions throughout the day

  • Up to 30 min review at pickup


 

One Week - $500

Two Weeks  - $950

Three Weeks  - $1375

 

Puppy Board and Train - 2 weeks - $1400

  • Will only take one puppy at a time

  • Starting at 8 weeks, 2, in home 60 minute relationship/engagement sessions

  • 12 weeks(after fully vaccinated) Boarding can start at the facility.

  • This is for puppies who are not potty trained.
